JESSICA KARUHANGA

“ALL OF ME” features the voices of eight black women, non-binary and gender-non-conforming folk I immensely care for. I asked them to speak to loss, longing, nostalgia and time-travel then layered their voices with gospel choir samples, electronic rhythms and trap beats. This lamentation riffs off my favourite Billie Holiday song and Angela Davis' assertion that Black feminism is rooted in the blues.
